Dr. Montero was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, where she spent most of her years until she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
She is a Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama Alum, Class of 2020, and has had the opportunity to work with specialty and emergency hospitals afterward. She has lived in different states as part of her professional journey which includes North Carolina, California, and Texas. Thankfully, she loves the warm weather and is excited to enjoy Arizona as her new home.
Dr. Montero has a special interest and training in Veterinary Dermatology which she frequently utilizes in her daily life as a veterinarian. As a Hispanic professional, Dr. Montero is always very excited to communicate with Spanish-speaking clients to help them better understand how to take care of their pets. She strongly believes in treating her patients and clients as her own family in order to provide the best care possible!
When Dr. Montero is not busy with her furry patients, she enjoys hiking, roller skating, dancing, trying new restaurants, being a dog mom, and spending time with family and friends. She would like you to meet their furry babies, Leah (chihuahua mix) and Storm (lab mix).
