Her pet family then grew to include 10 horses, 24 cats, 26 dogs, and 2 birds–all at one time. She began her veterinary career as a veterinary assistant in Tucson, Arizona, while attending the University of Arizona (GO CATS!).

Andrea and Chris moved back to Arizona after graduation in 2001. In 2005, she was invited by MSU to go to Wyoming to participate in teaching veterinary students remote area medicine and surgery on the reservations by Riverton.
Andrea and her husband share their home with three children, a spoiled cat named Whiskey Whiskertons, and a bulldog named Latte. Nicole was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey and loved living close the shore. But, after graduating from University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2014, she knew it was time for a new adventure and moved to Arizona in January 2015. Growing up with hamsters, fish, and dogs, Nicole has always had a passion for all animals. After living in Arizona for just a few weeks, she adopted a cat named Nikko, then a pit mix named Mac, and finally the newest addition of a Chihuahua named Rue. When not at work, she loves traveling, running, biking, playing soccer, and watching the Office reruns. Nicole hopes that one day she can start her own rescue and help many animals in need.
Vanessa attended and graduated from Carrington College as a veterinary assistant in 2009. She has been working in the field ever since and enjoys building bonds with clients and their pets. Andrea moved to Arizona when she was 9 years old. As a child always imagined herself working with animals. After graduating high school, Andrea volunteered at Wildlife World Zoo. She then got an internship at the Emergency Animal Clinic and this is where her veterinary career took off. Andrea is happily married and has 2 dogs, Maya and Zen. She loves to travel and see new places and meet new people. In her free time Andrea enjoys sewing, reading, and hiking.
Brittney grew up in Westminster, Maryland and always knew she would work with animals. She graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoo science. After graduating, Brittney spent two years caring for large cats and other exotic species at a wildlife preserve in North Carolina. In 2012, life brought her back north to Alexandria, Virginia where she found her true passion working as a veterinary assistant. In January 2017, a new job opportunity presented a new adventure. Brittney now lives with her husband and their spoiled cat in Gilbert, Arizona and enjoys hiking, bike riding and enjoying the many new sights that Arizona has to offer.
Kirstin grew up in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Chandler, Arizona in late 2010 with her mom as opportunities arrived for their small family. Her first rescue dog, Cricket, came to her soon after her arrival in Arizona and made the transition much easier. This fueled the flame for her love of animals that Kirstin always had growing up… Once an animal person, always an animal person. The step towards her veterinary aspiration kick started in June 2016 with the opportunity to work at a vet clinic in Washington, DC. Although Kirstin enjoyed her time on the East Coast, her heart brought her back to Chandler in October 2016. She will be pursuing veterinary technology and animal medicine at MCC in 2017. When Kirstin is not at work, you can find her out and about staying as active as possible!
Nicole was born in Glendale, Arizona, in 1996; lived in Ahwatukee until 2002; and then moved to San Tan Valley. Her love for animals started at a young age, thanks to her mom (who worked at a pet store and always brought small animals home), but the desire to care for animals as a career stemmed from Nicole’s experience with her late golden retriever, Jake (Bacon). She currently lives in Florence, Arizona, with her fiancé, Stewart; two “dog children,” Hank and Bill; and multiple aquariums full of assorted fish. When she’s not at work, she loves camping, fishing, and hiking.
